He is here! And, absolutely beautiful! Tristan Edward Sikes was born on Friday, Feburary 5, 2010 and weighed a whopping 9lbs 4oz! No wonder mom was struggling towards the end! I am now on maternity leave and really not sure what to do with myself. It's like an extended summer break. The best part is that I only go back for 3 weeks and then I get to go on summer break!
Sleepless nights - that is what we have right now. Tristan likes to stay up late and sleep all day (typical lazy boy). I admire anyone that has a toddler and a newborn; it's hard enough with my 5 year old and a newborn. Yesterday, we spent a thrilling day at Bass Pro Shop because big brother loves it! Mom and Tristan were worn out! Friday night we went to Johnny Rockets with Gigi and Papa - milk shakes and hamburgers! YUMMY! Of course, Tristan sleeps through all of this.
This morning was Tristan's first visit to Church. He slept right through the sermon and all the hustle and bustle; woke up just in time to get in the car and scream the whole way home :) Tristan is starting to notice things around him. He watched the mobile on his swing today and becoming very interested in the things and people around him.
